At Marble Bar Primary School students are encouraged to confidently engage in the global world whilst practising the core values of the local Nyamal community.
Aboriginal elders, industry leaders, and organisations are engaged as part of an integrated, culturally responsive and enterprising school community.
Curriculum is strategically aligned to STEAM capabilities and opportunities to learn ‘in country’ are incorporated with technology such as VR to support the students to become life-long learners.
In addition, Design and Digital technologies are integrated across all learning areas and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics teaching is integrated.
Our staff and students continue to work together to enhance our Marble Virtual Worlds as a showcase for our Nyamal language, culture and history to the global audience but importantly, as an additional resource hub to ensure that the richness of our Traditional Owners and People continue to be shared and known.
We worked with Dr Shellie Morris to add tremendous musical, on-country and artistic contributions to our Worlds, whilst also adding student and elder two way cultural intellect.
Acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional owners of the land on which we stand, the Nyamal people who are the custodians. We are honoured to be able to use this site with approval
