Literacy and Numeracy

At Marble Bar Primary School, early literacy programs are delivered by our teaching staff and Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers, emphasising explicit, systematic, cumulative and intense instruction linked to developing literacy and numeracy operational plans for each phase of schooling

Our Literacy and Numeracy Programs

  • K-6 teachers provide Letters and Sounds instruction.
  • K-2 teachers provide Cracking the Code instruction.
  • K-6 teachers provide Top Ten Maths.
Our teaching staff also provide personalised learning plans for students not achieving set school/system targets associated with literacy and numeracy programs. They do this by creating, implementing, monitoring and reviewing literacy, numeracy and behaviour plans for individual students at educational risk, and EAL/D students.
