Australian Education Awards 2023

Marble Bar Primary School was awarded the Ideagen CompliSpace Best First Nations Education Program award for the school’s virtual reality program, Marble Bar Virtual Worlds.

APICTA 2022

Marble Bar Primary School’s Virtual Worlds won an international gold medal at the 2022 Australia Pacific ICT Awards, known as “the Oscars of innovation in ICT.”

WAITTA Digital Inclusion Award 2023

Our digital partners Airborne IT won WAITTA’s inaugural Digital Inclusion award, The Connected State, recognises organisations that have significantly contributed to expanding digital access and use for all Western Australians, thus bridging the digital divide.

Our Principal – Mr Shane Wilson is a Teaching Fellowship winner as part of the 2022 Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards, in partnerships with Schools Plus.

31st INCITE Awards - Winner for Innovating Government Category

Our culturally immersive STEM project – Marble Bar Worlds – is a a winner in this category. Our submission is a joint efforts with our digital and STEM partners. We will now progress to the national iAwards.

Meritorious Leadership Award (Runner-Up) 2021 Governor’s School STEM Awards
Our ‘in country’ learning projects, incorporated with technology such as VR to support the students to become life-long learners, was recognised as a Merit recipient for this prestigious award.
Finalist for the 2022 Multicultural Awards
We were a finalist for this year’s awards, recognising our culturally and linguistically diverse community and all those working towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
Indigenous STEM Awards - Teacher Award
George Pantazis, our STEM Coordinator, won the Teacher Award for the 2021 Indigenous STEM Award, recognising the outstanding achievement and showcasing the skills and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, educators and STEM professionals.

Chevron Science Engagement Initiative of the Year - Premier Science Award 2022

Marble Bar’s culturally responsive STEM Project – Marble Bar Virtual Worlds – is a joint winner of the Chevron Science Engagement Initiative of the Year for the 2022 Premier’s Science Awards.
